Ephesians 6:10-20; John 15:1-4 As we wrap up this series on Ephesians, I want to remind you where we’ve been. We started out with the knowledge that we are saved by God’s grace, not by our own actions that we may boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). Then we talked about God’s invitation to be a part of what God is doing in the world and how God had that in mind from the beginning of all time and space – really before the beginning (Ephesians 1:4). Through God’s grace, we are not only saved from sin and selfishness, but we are included in God’s project of reconciliation, and through God, we have peace as God’s people (Ephesians 2:14). The peace of God is not static, though. It is active, and we live into it when we speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). You are loved by God’s own choice – and so are they (whoever they are).
